As the Lead Product Designer of Cisco Intercloud Services Marketplace, I spearhead a dynamic team of designers dedicated in reshaping the enterprise software shopping experience. Emphasizing simplicity and innovative methodologies, we seamlessly integrate single-page layout design to enhance end-to-end workflow efficiency. Through strategically implementing user-centric design principles and agile methodologies, we ensure users enjoy unparalleled accessibility and intuitive navigation.

Discovery

We identified a critical need to simplify both the discovery and purchase experience, especially given the limited number of services available at launch. It became evident that streamlining the purchasing configuration process was essential to enhance usability and promote user adoption. This discovery phase guided our UX design strategy, leading us to prioritize intuitive navigation and simplified purchasing flows, ensuring users can easily find and acquire the available apps while minimizing friction in the configuration process.

Design

In our pursuit to simplify the design, we opted for a single-page application approach, strategically leveraging its inherent advantages. By consolidating all necessary functionality into a single cohesive interface, we aimed to streamline user interaction and navigation, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience. This design style offers several benefits, including faster loading times, reduced server requests, and seamless transitions between content sections. Additionally, it facilitate a more fluid and responsive user experience, as users can interact with the application without experiencing page reloads. Overall, adopting a single-page application design aligns with our goal of simplification while ensuring optimal performance and usability for our users.
Design
Upon selecting the tile corresponding to the desired service, our interface expands downwards, revealing a comprehensive array of service details. This expansion provides users with access to crucial information, including pricing plans, general specifications, and customer reviews, ensuring transparency and enabling users to evaluate the service comprehensively. By presenting these details within the context of the selected tile, we aim to streamline the user journey and foster a more immersive and informative browsing experience, ultimately empowering users to make confident and informed decisions regarding their service selection.
Design
Users are seamlessly transitioned to an interactive configuration checkout page designed to cater to their specific needs and preferences. Within this dynamic interface, users are empowered to configure their usage parameters, including region, number of devices, and hosting preferences, among others. As users input their configuration details, the page dynamically updates to display a transparent pricing breakdown, ensuring users have full visibility into the cost implications of their selections before finalizing their order. This iterative and interactive approach not only enhances user confidence but also fosters a sense of control and transparency throughout the purchasing process, ultimately leading to a more satisfying and informed user experience.
